Lengthen Kilt
The buckles and straps are raised by the required amount (usually less than ¾") and the strap hole repositioned, effectively lengthening the kilt at the knee but at the expense of some reduced rise. Consult the Measurement Guide for measuring instructions.
This option is most suited for a minor lengthening, or for a heritage kilt that may, one day, need to be restored to its original length. For lengtheing more than ¾", send your kilt in for an assessment.
NOTE: NEW Finished Kilt Length refers to the kilt length as measured on yourself, without reference to the actual length of the kilt cloth.
SUBJECT TO ASSESSMENT
Before commencing work, the kilt will be assessed as to whether the lengthening requested can be accomplished. In some cases, there may be so little rise left that alteration is not recommended.
