Hand-wash Kilt
Run one too many kilted marathons? Give your kilt a little TLC — get the accumulated grime, salts and gunk out of your kilt's fabric.
Pleats are basted into position prior to washing. The kilt is then hand-washed in cold water using wool-compatible detergent, air dried, and pressed. Pleat realignment/correction not included.
NOTE: Requires at least 1 week to complete due to drying times for washing and pressing.
PLEASE BE ADVISED:
Kilts may change shape slightly when hand-washed in cold water because the cloth relaxes when wet and the weave realigns itself, eliminating pockets of worn-in stretch. Typically, the kilt will reassume its prior shape as it gets worn-in again.
HEAVILY SOILED KILTS
At our sole discretion, kilts heavily soiled from excess partying, motion sickness, "loolessness", etc., will not be accepted and will be returned un-washed to the client at their cost.
When heavily soiled, clients are required to have the kilt dry-cleaned at their expense (no need to press it) before sending it in for proper pressing.
